October 2009

Well, October has been a great month. Still loving my job. Cannot wait on the store to open up. My mother had a birthday, the twins had a birthday, and we introduced mudding to James, Teresa, and Maddison.

We are enjoying having the shop opened back up. We are making extra money from that. The boys are doing ok in school.

Whit and I have been working a little more in the house. Just trying to complete the main floor. We were going to have a big halloween party, but were unable to get the house done and I do not want to bring my friends in without it being done.

The house is always full of great kids. We have been having many cookouts here, and enjoy going to dance at Wendells.

Thought about buying a new car, but I love the Escalade. I have been sick for over a week now, and do feel like I am starting to feel better finally. Whit bought escalade seats and put in his big black monster truck.

Had an interesting apology this month from someone that had wronged us for many years. It was well over due. It was welcomed!!! We are watching some people suffer for all the things they have done. Karma! Enough said about that. I do not wish any harm on anyone, but for some of the things these people have done to my kids and husband, they deserve to squirm a little. Just a little!!!!

The end of the month is coming up fast. Who knows what will happen? Stay tuned.

September 2009

This has been a difficult month. Still working at the flooring company. Love it. have a great boss and have made a good friend in his wife.

Charlie, Gavin, and Julie have had birthdays this month. Nicky moved in to a new home. The kids are tickled to death because they have a front and back yard they can play in. It is sweet.

My boss is opening a store on Woodruff road. I am totally excited about that. Chase and Dalton have both been quarantined this month. Sick month so far. With school just starting, we sure didn't need for them to already miss so many days.

Went to the Charlotte motor speedway Autofest and had a blast. Barry, Chastity, James and Teresa joined us and we had a blast.

The entire family had found that we all like to be big redneck's and go 4wheelin in the mud. It is fun.

Kids grades are good. Whit reopened the junkyard.

We are still dealing with dumb people/ ex-relatives on a daily basis. Wish that they would disappear, but if we just hold on all the crimes will catch up to them and so will the police. LOL

Just a matter of time.

Life is good. We keep saying we are going to work on this house, but we have not gotten back to it. Work all the time. Love our friends and family.

August 2009

Well, this month has been wild.

Business is not so good with the 18 wheeling. Had to park the truck this month. Hated to do that to our driver, but we are only taking money out of our pocket to keep the driver working and being a business woman I am in it to make money. So, we had to stop running.

I started a new job. I love it. I am the office manager of a flooring company. It is called Palmetto Pro Flooring. We have the best installers of any......

Dad turned 63. He is not doing to well, but we keep after him to eat and rest well.

July 2009

Wow, July came and went quickly.

Let's see, what happened this month????? Dalton turned 16. Unreal how old I am getting.

We went to the beach with Nicky and her babies. Had a blast. The twins were so freaking cute. They had never seen the ocean before. They called it the big sandbox. Sweet babies.

Dad stayed most of the month with us.

Will post if anything else comes to mind.

A new episode in the Landreth life>>>>

How can you ever move forward when you keep getting slapped in the face with the past? I watch Whit work everyday around that junkyard and see the hurt and pain in his eyes. He sits in his Father's desk and feels his presence. His heart breaks. This from the man of steel.

The fact of the matter is he is a great man and works hard for everything that we have. He does not have to lie, cheat, or steal to make it in the world. His father told him that he would have a fight on his hands after his death. But it shocked us that it was from the people that we would never suspect.

I find myself looking and searching for answers and wishing that I could help heal his pain, but there is really nothing I can do. I back him and hope for the pain to stop, but he feels as though he is going at life alone. Basically, we are the only family he has. He gave others the chance to make the right decision, but they chose not too. Even real blood betrayed him. Lied, stole, cheated all under oath. WOW.....

We opened the junkyard back up. Life is very difficult around there. Whit has to deal with the terrible ones that live around there and I just wish that we could smile and all get on with our lives. To each his own and leave us alone. There comes a time in life when hatred becomes an obsession and you have to walk away. Come on people... It is flattering, but getting kind of OLD now.

I watch people in and out daily and see them do criminal acts, but for some reason the law is for the criminals. I even listened to people lie under oath, with a straight face. It was unbelievable.

But, I have to admire my husband. He keeps on going without letting stuff bother him. Whit is there for my sons and myself. I thank God EVERY DAY for such a wonderful man.

Those EX-Family members have their side of the story, and can say whatever they want too, but anyone who has a REAL mind knows the TRUTH!!!!! There is nothing else that you can do to hurt Whit. You cannot kill his Daddy or his dad's memory any more. You just disgrace his MEMORY! You should be ashamed!!!

Saying this, I just want to Thank God for my blessings and wish that people would get on with their lives. A new baby was born, FOCUS on that and leave well enough alone. Things could get soooo much worse! Stop all of your postings and eye rollings.... MOVE on..... We have.

I hope NOBODY ever has to go through this type of stuff EVER!

June 2009

Wow, this month is off to a great start. We have had a lot of action so far.

Chase turned 13... Wow, my baby is a teenager! Dalton is driving more. Which scares the hell out of me. Dad came to stay with me for a while.

Both boys passed. Dalton will be a JR and Chase goes in to the 8th grade.

We closed on the house. Still needing to complete the 1st & 4th levels. We will get that done though. We sold our trailer and our tri-toon.

Nicky had hysterectomy from having cancer. She is doing well. She passed her State Board Nursing exams. Phillip, my brother, turned 40. We went and enjoyed a great dinner with him and his family in Lancaster. Was a great time.

My driver wrecked my truck and has been out of work for going on 3 weeks now. If he isn't making money then I am not making money.

What else? I cannot think of anything at this time. However, I am going to go make the boys some lunch and will come back with more stuff soon.

Okay, made lunch played at the water, showered and now I am back. What else about June?

Oh, got me a Blackberry. That is a big deal. Waited a long time to get it and finally had to break down and get one. If I ride around and work with Whit, I cannot be online so I got my phone to help me book my truck. Had my first yardsale. It was hot as hell, but did it anyway.

Okay, that seems like that is about it for June. Going to finish by saying we are still working on the house.

May 2009

May has been a very busy month. We have had joys, upsets, and a little in between.

First of the month, Nicky (my baby sister) graduated from nursing school #1 in her class. Yeah, way to go Nicky. Then she also has cancer and had to have a hysterectomy. I feel so bad for her. She is such a trooper.

We had mother's day. That was fun because I am celebrating my Mother FINALLY being single. Could not stand the man who mooched off of her for 9 years! What a LOSER! But he is gone and hope he NEVER gets back in the picture again.

We closed on our house. We still have the 1st & 4th floors to complete, but in due time.

I am working really hard to run my own trucking business. It is a lot harder than it looks. We are working it right now, but really tough financially because of the thieves we worked with. Who are still operating business we dumped. Unreal!!! But, the truth will come out on them.

Nicky and the kids came down to play in the water, my Father came down to stay for a while. He is getting ready to have some minor surgery and he will be back in July.

May has been a very busy month for us. Let's see what happens in June

Our beautiful home.

My wonderful husband built me this beautiful home. We lived in a 16x80 for 4 years. We lived on tope of each other, crowded, 2dogs, and poor Chase slept on the couch for the entire time.

This is the front of the house from the street.

This is a view from the lake.

This is a picture of my beautiful: Exotic Asian Walnut flooring

We moved in the last day in February. Whit was so excited, that when I got home from work that he and Chase had already started moving stuff. Even though we just moved next door, it took a long time to move everything. I would have taken one room at a time and moved items in that I wanted to keep and gave away things I didn't want. But NOOOOOO, they stuck everything in each room... SO, with that being said. We put a bunch of stuff in this house that we do not need. I am supposed to be going thru each room and thru all the tubs we packed, but I just cannot get in to it.

I am working from room to room working on caulking and trim work right now. Ok, so back to my story. We were in this house for less than 2 weeks when a hot water hose came loose from my jacuzzi tub and hot water ran for over 8 hours. So, the water floods my room, the masterbath, the master closet, the 1/2 bath, the laundry room, and the main hall leading to my room. So much water ran, that it flooded the basement, all the duct work and the heat unit. We had 6" of water standing in our basement and it ruined our belongings stored in the basement.

This is a picture of the basement.
So, we had insurance but we had to go back through the phase of construction again. It was not fun. We had to have the carpet replaced in our bedroom. So, while we were at it we had them pull up the ceramic tile in the master bath. When they popped it up after 4 weeks, it was still wet. We had a company come out, called ServePro and they assured me that this house was dryer than it was before the incident. Luckily for us, we used the best subflooring that they make now. It can stay under water for 50 years and still not warp or damage.

Back to the story. We were devastated to find mold starting to grow. I was so mad. I could have killed ServicePro. We then decided to pull up all the flooring that was exposed to water. We also pulled up some of my beautiful hardwood floor.

Again, lucky for us we had great guys doing the flooring. It looks awesome.

I changed the color of my carpet from White to brown/tan color. It is ok. I wish I could have kept white, but I was driving myself crazy with spots on it.

I am staying at home these days because of crooks, but I am enjoying it. So it is up to me to get this house done. I still have trim work, caulking, mirrors to put up, touch up painting, and tons of odds and ends to do.

We are living in the 2 main levels, but have to complete the 1st floor and the 4th floor. It is going to be finished in wood. We are going for the "rustic" look in there. It is going to be beautiful. We have all the wood and stuff, but we need our electrician to get his part done so everyone else to do their part.

I plan on having the biggest get together once I am finished with this house.

A life changing action!

Decisions made can ultimately change your view of people in a split second.

I had worked at a small elementary school for close to 9 years. My husband and I were approached by what seemed to be an HONEST man... (yeah, right) Little did we know that this man was going to be one of these biggest crooks in the history of our lives..... We have always worked hard and have a reputation for being honest, and I guess this man saw that and saw that Whit (my soul mate) is a hardworking businessman.

Well, on to my story. In October, we added on to our hauling business and branched out into hauling freight. This went on for about a month or so. We were having this particular man, we will call is BJ SLIVERS just so we do not have to say his real name... LOL Well, BJ's office was located in his garage and he had several women working for him. One of which was his daughter, we will call her Tabena. Just changing the names so that I will not be held liable for saying their real names. Right!!!!

Well, Tabena booked runs for our driver and they actually paid us after each load and everything seemed on the up and up. Well, BJ approached Whit with a job offer to become partners with him and Tabena. Only to start a new business, new company name. Whit had to be partners with Tabena because BJ had such "problems" with a bankruptcy. Now, we have learned that he has so many judgements against him that couldn't have a new business in his name. Back to the story:

So, we were approached with this job offer of a partnership. BJ would bring in his trucks, ALL CRAP and BEHIND on Lease Payments. We were to come in clean house, hire new drivers, fix the trucks up, and I guess front money. Now this entire time, we didn't know the Slivers didn't have any money.

BJ and Whit talked about all the things that had to be done and we were told that with the new company would come a contract. That because Whit was joining him, he went out and got us a contract with the US Postal service. Whit and I were told that it was a 7million dollar/ year contract. We should have looked in to it more, but because BJ was so upfront booking for our trucks in the months of October and November, who would have thought?

Anyway, we were willing to "invest" $60K in this new, prospering business. Right? With a return of 7million, who wouldn't sacrifice a little? We did it. We joined in with them. We started the new name: S&L Transportation, I turned in my notice. Yes, I quit my state job. Gave up my insurance, benefits, retirement, the whole nine yards. Who wouldn't give up a state job for a government job? Unbelievable right. Only there was no postal contract.

There is so much more to this story, and being my first blog, I do not know how much space I have. So, I will keep typing to tell my story.

Okay, so I am back to the point of where I quit my job. Came to work for Whit and his partner and it started off hard. I mean real hard. We were making it very hard on ourselves by putting all of our money in to this business. Who knew that it was going to be a flop? We were just barely making it. Apparently you can be TOO honest according to BJ. He actually sat me down and told me that he didn't mean to offend me or anything, but that Whit was just to honest of a business man for this line of work. I looked at him and told him that if he was expecting anything less he had the wrong partner......

December, January, February, goes by. Whit keeps asking about this postal contract. BJ always had an excuse as to why it hadn't taken place. I mean elaborate stories. He went on to bring all the drivers in for meetings about this contract and what would be expected from these employees. How wrong is that? Well, this man wrote so many bad checks that we kept covering. Whit started to get very suspicious and he started digging in to this stuff. This was middle of March. This entire time neither of us had taken a paycheck. However, this entire time the Slivers were taking T-check money and express codes... (for those of you who don't know trucker lingo, this is some ways people pay and how drivers get fuel) Same as cash at gas stations....

So March rolls in and Whit goes to the Post Office... He is setting up a meeting with the Post Master of SC to find out what is going on. BJ was busted for sure now, and he knew it. He had his son run him to the Anderson PO so that he could get an application in the system. Little did he know that it doesn't work that way. You have to get the application and send it to MD. He thought he would beat Whit to the office and get something, just anything in the system so that when whit sat down with the Post master pulled up the names of the business something would show up as pending and he would not be caught. Not how it happened. The "contact" that he was supposedly going thru to get the contract was a clerk, and had retired years ago. He didn't ever expect us to wise up to them I guess. NOT!!!!

Whit confronted him with it. It was ugly. I tried to be the peace keeper, but this entire time I was stuck in an office with people who were lying, cheating, and stealing. You haven't heard the best yet. This "daughter" of his was not his daughter by birth. He took her in as a 5 year old. We were told by family members that he started molesting her at age 12. She had his first baby at age 22, and just had a baby by him in February. GROSS!!!! I mean this 30 year old girl still lives at home with her "daddy" and her oldest child calls him daddy too! OMG

Okay, so we are closing in on them. The girl, Tabena, doesn't know who she is messing with. She has a mouth on her towards everyone else, but had no idea she met her match with Whit. He started catching them in their lies. Tabena was getting mad and making comments like saying she was gonna punch him in his eye for doubting or checking up on their stories. They had no idea we were being informed by SEVERAL of his family members! HA

So it comes down to the fact that we were out of money, the company had not made any. And what it did they were stealing! Such a terrible Man. I think that he believes all the lies he told. And she was just as guilty as he was. Not very good liars either...... Everything was catching up to them. Last week in March and everything was on the table. We had told them come April we were out of there. This IDIOT had the audacity to ask me if I would continue to work for him once Whit was gone from the business. Now Whit is leaving because of all the lies and deceit and he thinks I am going to work for him. OKAY!

Coming to the end of our time with S&L Transportation was getting excited. This man owed us thousands by this time. We bailed him out of going to jail, we paid all the insurance deposits, and paid out of our pockets ALL the costs of repairing his crappy LEASED trucks. This man owns nothing.. Oh, wait, he CLAIMS to have money hidden away in an IRA, or savings account in Burnsville, NC. Hope the IRS gets a wiff of that. Or his with Darlene. She lives in the house where they flaunt their "relationship" in front of her. Telling everyone that she has a tumor and it is making her crazy, and that she has cancer... Come on people, I would be crazy if you were running around, having an affair in my home too. Shoot, both of them would have broken legs or be eating glass chips if it were me!

Now we are at the shop the last night and all is coming to a head. We have confronted BJ and Tabena with all the lies. They are swearing to God that everything is on the up and up. We have people who tell us they saw him at our office on Friday/Saturday nights after midnight. Reliable sources too. His wife even told me that every time I walked out of "our" office that BJ and Tabena went through my desk drawers and even turned on my computer and went through it. How bad can these assholes be. Well, we found out. Tabena took one of our, and when I say ours, I mean our other business checks. She was so dumb that she signed her name to it. She is not, nor has she ever been a signer/partner or ANYTHING to our company DBS & Towing company. So, this dummy took our check and deposits it in her PERSONAL account. Now we have her on FEDERAL/FELONY fraudulent check charges. She is going to go to jail for up to 10 years. All because this evil, deceitful, businessman. Wait, that is her "daddy"/Babydaddy....

Okay, so he tells her to take this check. She does it and he does not get in to trouble at all. He is smarter than the average crook. He put his daughter/lover up to doing the wrongdoing and she is so dumb that she ACTUALLY did it. So whatever she gets, taken away from her kids..... She chose him over her kids. How unbelievable. What a mother!!

So, we are completely rid of them. I left my job and cannot get my status as a state employee back. All the years I had invested, GONE!! All because this darn set of crooks.

I have always been told, What goes around comes around.... Okay, when? I want to see these crooks pay for what they have done, what they have taken away from us. My kids suffered, my parents suffered. They borrowed money from them as well. I am a stay at home wife/mother now. After all the years of working.

We built this new house and I am spending my time working on it. Tons to be done on it. However, these people are still operating this business and they are so crooked. They lie, cheat, and steal. Neither of them have a drivers license, both suspended and they drive every day! They do not have insurance on their vehicles and they drive them. It is time for some of their wrong-doings to start showing up. Let me see, I have people that tell me all kinds of stuff that needs to be reported to the proper authorities. Dare I????

So this is the days of our lives for the ending of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. We are strong, young people and will recover from the money loss. Yes, it will take years to regain our financial status again, but I will never be able to get back what I lost by leaving a state job for a make-believe government job. How could they? I will tell you how they did it. They prayed on people who believed in honesty. Well, thanks to Tabena and BJ we NO LONGER trust freely. People will and must earn our trust!
